Full Time Custodian

We are looking for a dependable Custodian to join our team. Responsibilities include proper maintenance of surface areas including floors, carpets, and non-porous walls, as well as maintaining a sanitized and well-groomed facility to ensure a proper and safe environment of care for all students, staff, employees, and visitors. The second shift custodian must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the athletic department schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Integrate the mission of the school in the work environment
• Maintain positive relationships with staff and leadership
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner
• Assist with maintenance and repairs of custodial equipment
• Assist with event setups and takedowns
• Assist with building security as needed, including locking the building
• Disinfect surfaces of high priority
• Wash walls, woodwork, and windows
• Dust designated areas
• Clean bathrooms, hallways and corridors, various rooms, and stairways
• Perform dry and wet mopping procedures
• Vacuum upholstery, carpet, and rugs
• Transport trash to the appropriate area
• Replenish supplies as needed
• Follow safety procedures
• Maintain an orderly and presentable work area at all times
• Perform other tasks as assigned
• Attend workshops, in-services and employee meetings as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic maintenance experience or courses
• Work experience in a related field
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
• Demonstrated initiative and aptitude for physical labor, cleaning, emptying trash, and other routine tasks
• BCI Background Check Required

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $18.15 per hour
