What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Academic Coach - Science position at NOTRE DAME-CATHEDRAL LATIN SCHOOL?
The Opportunity: Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School, a thriving, coeducational Catholic college preparatory high school sponsored by the Sisters of Notre Dame, seeks a collaborative, engaging, and technology proficient Academic Coach for Science to challenge and support our students as they pursue academic excellence and prepare for lives of leadership and service. This position is ideal for a teacher new to the profession or a recent retiree who enjoys supporting students without the demands of lesson planning and grading. The Academic Coach for Science will work part-time within the school day according to a schedule determined by the needs of the school and the availability of the coach.
About the Academic Success Center: In its eighth year, the NDCL Academic Success Center provides students access to academic coaching across the various content areas. The center, which is housed in the Sisters of Notre Dame Learning Commons, includes nine academic coaches who offer individual and small group coaching sessions. Nearly 98% of NDCL students have an enhanced learning block, or ELB, as part of their academic schedule. Every ELB student has an assigned academic coach who meets with them regularly to check grades, monitor progress, offer organizational and time management support, and connect students to the resources they need to thrive.

· Flexible coaching style to adapt learning strategies for a variety of learners.
Qualifications:
· Undergraduate or graduate degree in education or science.
· Proficient in Chemistry and Physical Science.
· Teaching licensure from the State of Ohio is preferred but not required.
· Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
