The Opportunity: Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School, a thriving, coeducational Catholic college preparatory high school sponsored by the Sisters of Notre Dame, seeks a collaborative, engaging, and technology proficient Teacher of Mathematics to support our students as they pursue academic excellence and prepare for lives of leadership and service.
Essential Skills:
· Philosophically aligned to the Catholic mission, vision, and core values of NDCL.
· Professional expertise in linking curriculum, instruction, and assessment, especially as they relate to preparing students for college success.
· Familiarity with current content standards for Mathematics and a contemporary approach to math education, especially as expressed by the Principles and Standards of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
· Skilled communicator and listener who demonstrates interest in building strong, supportive relationships with students and colleagues.
· Motivated learner who continually seeks feedback and is excited to grow and learn professionally.
· Collaborator who thrives on a team.
· Flexible coaching style to adapt math learning strategies for a variety of learners.
· Dynamic teacher motivated by a genuine care for the well-being and academic growth of students.
· Willingness to support the needs of the school's co-curricular programs.
Qualifications:
· Undergraduate or graduate degree in education or mathematics (master’s degree preferred).
· Appropriate secondary licensure from the State of Ohio.
· Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
· Coding experience is preferred but not required.
Reports To: NDCL Principal
Status: Full-Time
· Salary commensurate with education and experience.
