What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trust Operations Officer position at Notre Dame Federal Credit Union?
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
As an officer of the company, the responsibility of the Trust Operations Officer is to meet and exceed our clients’ service expectations by performing critical daily account maintenance and reconciliation activities with accuracy and integrity. This position assists the Director of Operations and serves as a back-up to that position. This position works closely with the Trust Administration Department and the Portfolio Management Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position must effectively carry out the essential duties of this position in a manner that consistently demonstrates the Core Values of the Credit Union and Trust Company in a positive manner. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following, however other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Key knowledge of trust accounting system and provide employee training.
- Follow regulatory and policy compliance requirements.
- Mutual fund trade processing for outside managers.
- Oversee client statement set up and processing.
- Oversee daily settlement, posting and reconciliation of accounts.
- Oversee account enrollment processes for opening of client accounts.
- Oversee RMD tracking and processing.
- Oversee incoming account transfer processing
- Perform bill payment transaction review and processing for trust clients.
- Process federal tax withholding payments and prepare 945 tax return.
- Maintain client portal.
- Maintain class action securities litigation payments.
- Assist with closing of client accounts.
- Assist and back up various duties of Director of Operations, such as:
- Providing data and operational support for audits and examinations.
- Creating trust operations procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- FinCEN/OFAC monitoring and review processing.
- Problem Resolution
SECONDARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with troubleshooting for clients who cannot access the online portal.
- Assist in monitoring the lobby, receiving guests, and answering phones.
