Job Summary:
Notre Dame High School is seeking dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Coaches for our Girls Flag Football program. The Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in all aspects of the program, including player development, practice planning, and game execution. This role requires strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills to help foster a competitive and positive environment for student-athletes. The Athletic Department will provide support in administrative tasks, scheduling, and logistics to assist the coaching staff in running a successful program.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Coach in planning and leading structured practices, conditioning programs, and game strategies.
Provide individual and group instruction to enhance player skills, teamwork, and overall performance.
Support the development of a disciplined and positive team culture that prioritizes sportsmanship, leadership, and academic success.
Help evaluate players and provide feedback to enhance their growth and development.
Assist with game preparation, including scouting opponents and developing game plans.
Work with the Athletic Office on scheduling, travel arrangements, and game logistics.
Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, school administration, and athletic department staff.
Ensure compliance with school, league, and CIF rules and regulations.
Promote the program within the school and local community to encourage participation and support.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school or collegiate level.
Strong knowledge of flag football rules, techniques, and strategies.
Ability to teach fundamental skills while fostering competitive play.
Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Commitment to the academic and personal development of student-athletes.
The ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required for practices and games.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
Playing experience in football or flag football at a competitive level.
CIF coaching certification or willingness to complete required courses.
Salary : $5,000 - $6,000
