Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Assistant Football Coaches, (OL/LB) to join our coaching staff. The ideal candidate will assist in developing the skills and abilities of our athletes while promoting teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. This role requires a strong understanding of football strategies and techniques, as well as the ability to educate and motivate players at various skill levels.
Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and implementing practice sessions and game strategies.
- Provide instruction on football techniques, including passing, blocking, tackling, and game rules.
- Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages participation and personal growth.
- Collaborate with other coaching staff to develop training programs that address individual player needs.
- Monitor the physical conditioning of players to ensure they are prepared for games and practices.
- Promote safety during practices and games by enforcing proper techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Engage with parents and guardians to communicate player progress and team expectations.
Requirements
- Previous coaching experience or participation in competitive football is preferred.
- Background in physical education or health club environments is beneficial for understanding athlete conditioning.
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate players on techniques and strategies.
- Ability to manage behavior effectively within a team setting, fostering respect among players.
- A commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle through sports participation, including swimming or gym activities when applicable.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during the season.
