Position Overview : The purpose of this position is to serve NDSM as the Nutrition Program Float. This role plays a critical role in providing nutritious and appealing meals to students in our schools. The Nutrition Program Float is expected to float between NDSM's current locations of 1420 W Scott St, 1425 S 26th St, 1215 S. 45th St. The position involves preparing, serving and cleaning up after meals in a safe and efficient manner.
Reporting Relationship : Reports directly to the Nutrition Manager.
The essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Serve meals within USDA guidelines
- Receive meal, milk, and supply orders
- Attend annual training sessions to meet required continuing education hours
- Daily kitchen maintenance
- Help maintain neat, clean and safe working environment
- Conduct meal counts according to regulations and procedures
- Complete reports as necessary used for inventory and auditing purposes
- Follow written and oral directions
- Follow attendance rules
- Practice good personal hygiene
- Exhibit professional behavior
- Clear communication with the Nutrition Manager
- Float between campuses as assigned to fill coverages if other staff are absent (may include multiple locations in a single day)
