SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate English Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of high school English courses, fostering students' literacy skills and love of language and literature. This position requires a strong commitment to the integration of faith and values into the curriculum and classroom environment. This is an anticipated opening for the 2025-2026 school year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop and implement engaging and rigorous English curricula aligned with state standards and the school's mission.
· Teach a variety of English courses, potentially including, but not limited to English 7-12, AP English Literature and Composition, Dual Credit English courses, and/or other specialized English electives, or remedial/AIS ELA classes.
· Create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth and development.
· Use effective teaching methods and strategies to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse needs of all learners.
· Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including essays, presentations, projects, and standardized tests.
· Provide regular and constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic progress.
· Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student success.
· Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current in English education pedagogy and content.
· Integrate Catholic values and teachings into the curriculum and classroom environment, demonstrating a commitment to the school's mission.
· Contribute to the English department and the broader school community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in English, Literature, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
· Valid teaching certification in English Language Arts.
· Experience teaching high school English.
· Strong understanding of English literature, grammar, composition, and pedagogy.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to create engaging and motivating learning experiences.
· Commitment to student well-being and character development.
· Understanding and appreciation of Catholic values and beliefs.

Pay: $32,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
