SUMMARY:
Notre Dame Jr/Sr High School is seeking a dynamic and passionate Math Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of junior and senior high school math courses, fostering students' mathematical understanding and appreciation. This position requires a strong commitment to the integration of faith and values into the curriculum and classroom environment. This is an anticipated part time opening for the 2025-2026 school year but may become full time if necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop and implement engaging and rigorous math curricula aligned with state standards and the school's mission.
· Teach a variety of math courses, potentially including, but not limited to Middle School Math courses, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and/or other advanced math topics.
· Create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth and development.
· Use effective teaching methods and strategies to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse needs of all learners.
· Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including formative and summative assessments, projects, and presentations.
· Provide regular and constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic progress.
· Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student success.
· Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current in math education pedagogy and content.
· Integrate Catholic values and teachings into the curriculum and classroom environment, demonstrating a commitment to the school's mission.
· Contribute to the mathematics department and the broader school community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Master's degree in a related field.
· Valid teaching certification in Mathematics.
· Experience teaching high school mathematics.
· Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and pedagogy.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to create engaging and motivating learning experiences.
· Commitment to student well-being and character development.
· Understanding and appreciation of Catholic values and beliefs.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18,000.00 - $25,000.00 per year
