Responsibilities:
- To conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of vehicles prior to every trip to ensure they are in good working condition.
- To operate vehicles on approved time schedules and follow established routes and designated stops.
- To report any accidents or student injuries to authorities or as directed.
- To instruct riders on being responsible passengers and drive defensively under varying traffic conditions.
- To prioritize the safety of students at all times and report personal absences in a timely manner to secure a substitute driver.
Qualifications:
- A high school graduate or GED certificate is required.
- At least two references attesting to your ability, character, and personal qualifications must be provided.
- You must meet state requirements for appropriate licensing and physical examination.
- You must be able to operate various vehicle types used in transporting students and possess excellent communication skills.
