What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety & Environmental (EHS) Manager position at Nouryon?
The HSE&S Manager is a critical role responsible for overseeing the site's Health, Safety, Environmental, Security, and Responsible Care Programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure overall compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local authorities and their applicable regulations.
- Responsible for activities, analysis, and recommendations that address unsafe conditions and at-risk behaviors;
- Manage and sponsor the Survey Consider Act Notify (SCAN) process;
- Lead the plant safety committee;
- Be responsible for authorization of high-risk permit to work activities.
- Responsible for security of property and materials and alignment with DHS requirements.
- Administer health and wellness programs, medical records;
- Responsible for permit compliance and programs and improvement efforts towards minimizing environmental footprint of facility.
The successful candidate will be a technical/engineering graduate with five (5) years or more industry-related experience in the HSE&S field. They must have the ability to read/write/analyze/interpret technical information related to the plant operation.
This job requires capability to work in a chemical manufacturing setting with rotating, stationary, and high-voltage equipment, ability to climb multiple levels, work in/outdoors, various noise environments, and lift up to 50 lbs.
