What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Trust Accountant position at Nova 401(k) Associates?

We are looking to fill two positions for our Trust Accounting Team. These positions are fully remote. Although welcome, industry experience is not necessary, and paid training will be provided.
Nova 401(k) Associates is a rapidly growing national third-party administration firm providing administrative services to companies sponsoring 401(k), pension, and other qualified retirement plans. We have a nationally recognized sales team allowing us to grow continuously and provide advancement opportunities for our professionals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Reconcile brokerage account statements for retirement plans on a cash basis
- Identify missing information and statements
- Identify unusual transactions requiring investigations
- Prepare balance sheets and income statements for retirement plans
- Enter asset information into our compliance software
- Enter Form 5500 into software
- Reconcile assets on transfer cases
- Assist with other assigned tasks to balance workloads and receive well-rounded training
- Perform work according to Nova policies and procedures
- Complete assigned training
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with bookkeeping and accounting preferred
- Prior work experience a plus, preferably in a professional environment
- Self-motivated and disciplined
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Flexibility, adaptability, and excellent multi-tasking skills
- Coachable and committed to professional development
- Clean background check
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base salary $50,000
- Salaried, non-exempt position; eligible for overtime

Work Location/Hours:
- Work from home
- Must work from USA and be authorized to work for any US employer
- No travel required
- Attend regular video meetings via Microsoft Teams or equivalent
- We will supply all necessary computer equipment
- Work hours: 40 hours per week
- You may choose a start time between 7:30am and 8:30am (your time zone)
