What are the responsibilities and job description for the Air and Reference Assembler I - Second Shift position at Nova Biomedical Corporation?
Nova Biomedical is hiring an Air and Reference Assembler I on the Second Shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) in our Waltham, MA facility. This person is responsible for the processing of various reference sensors, air detectors and non-sensing devices for both core and OEM analyzers. Under general supervision, this person will perform routine assembly operations. Once trained, candidate must have the ability to work independently and efficiently. Required to manufacture only the highest quality assemblies while meeting manufacturing schedules. Other responsibilities include:
- Ability to work with various epoxies, solvent, and chemicals as required during assembly
- Requires a high level of attention to detail through all aspects of the assembly process to produce high product yields since these products are very dependent on workmanship
- Must have the ability to set up and operate a variety of production equipment such as automatic dispensing equipment, UV adhesive systems, ultrasonic welders, laser coders, soldering irons and leak testers. Ability to understand assembly procedures, drawings, verbal instructions, and related documentation to assemble various product is required
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
- Good math skills
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Basic understanding of GMP
Education/Experience:
- High School/Trade School diploma
- Minimum 2 years of Manufacturing experience building small assemblies, working with epoxies, and using small hand tools
