What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Scientist position at Nova Biomedical Corporation?
Nova Biomedical is hiring an Associate Scientist I to work in our Waltham, MA facility within a multiple-disciplinary team to conduct the research and development of chemical biological sensors, assays, and reagents for clinical analyzers and instrumentations.
More specific responsibilities will include:
- Conduct research and development in assigned area, under general supervision, using established methodologies
- Record, store and summarize information and data
- Develop laboratory skills and familiarity with equipment for operation for operation, maintenance and raw data gathering
- Prepare technical reports
- Able and willing to handle biohazard blood samples
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Chemistry, Biology, or Biomedical engineering with 0-2 years of industrial experience
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and/or laboratory statistical programs
- Ability to perform general laboratory skills
- Ability to operate Word Processor and Spreadsheet
- Ability to identify and recommend solutions to routine problems
