What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Technician position at Nova Biomedical Corporation?
Nova Biomedical is hiring a Lab Technician for our R&D Organic Research Lab on-site in our Waltham, MA facility. The individual will be responsible for the compound weighing and miscellaneous formulation preparation and to conduct the research and development of chemical sensors, assays, and reagents for the clinical analyzers and instrumentations. Other responsibilities include:
- Preparing formulation and compounds for production
- Documenting experiments and preparations in detail
- Preparing technical reports
- Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
- Must be a good team player and possess the ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments, execute the job assignment in detail with care.
- Knowledge of basic research and development techniques is also required.
- Ability to practice general laboratory skills.
- Ability to use Word/Excel
- Ability to identify and recommend solutions to routine problems.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma with 1-2 years lab experience, some background in chemistry or biology is preferred.
