Nova Biomedical is hiring a Sr. Supervisor on the Instruments Manufacturing Team in our Enterprise Road facility in Billerica, MA. The Instrument Manufacturing Supervisor manages the daily activities of the Manufacturing Group leaders and Manufacturing Associates in the assigned areas. This position develops and implements the initiatives necessary for manufacturing to achieve their stated objective of manufacturing products of superior quality and reliability, on time, and in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. This position has overall responsibility to ensure (1) their areas are compliant to all company standards and safety requirements, (2) their personnel are trained and competent in their duties, (3) the accuracy of area inventory, and (4) the achievement of production scheduled. Hours: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
Other Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Achieve weekly production schedules and department goals
- Manage the area's inventory through the cycle count program; reconcile count discrepancies and input count data
- Manage and review production data with team members and resolve any manufacturing related issues
- Ensure that MVs and ECOs are reviewed with direct reports and implemented including (a) the reconciliation of obsolete and new documentation, (b) implementing of new training and the subsequent completion of training records, and (c) the disposition of specified material
- Manage, utilizing SAP, DHR requirements (from Work Order release through QC release)
- Generate and administer performance appraisals
- Drive continuous improvement activities
- Manage training requirements including the maintenance of Master Control Training records
- Ensure tooling Calibration and Maintenance is completed
- Participate in interviews for new hires
- Update and approve time sheets
- Ensure compliance with all company and department policies and procedures. Address performance issues as necessary
- Suggest changes in working conditions, set-up times, and equipment utilization to improve operational efficiencies.
- Working with Engineering, develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of GMP and ISO requirements. FDA requirements a plus
- Working knowledge of inventory control practices and manufacturing planning
- ERP (SAP) experience
- Proficiency with MS applications; Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to read and speak English

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory/leadership capacity.
