What are the responsibilities and job description for the Test Engineer I position at Nova Biomedical Corporation?
Nova Biomedical is hiring a Test Engineer I on-site in our Waltham, MA office. The Test Engineer I will: perform preliminary in-house testing of products (ESD, RFI, EMI), assist Electrical Engineers in design to meet safety and functional requirements, and evaluate and certify new components. Other responsibilities include:
- Working with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to meet technical standards for the safety and essential performance of medical electrical equipment.
- Qualifying components to replace components that have gone end-of-life (EOL).
- Generating Test Reports to Validate or Verify Manufacturing Variances (MVs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of IEC 61010-1 Safety requirements of electrical equipment for measurement, control, and laboratory use Part 1: General requirements.
- Familiarity with Code of Federal Regulations, Title 47, Part 15.
- Familiarity with the use of test equipment, including but not limited to digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, ESD simulators, and spectrum analyzers.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Education/Experience:
- B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 4 years of related experience, or recent college graduation.
