What are the responsibilities and job description for the Injection Mold Technician position at Nova Biomedical?
Nova Biomedical is hiring an Injection Mold Technician on the Second Shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM - this includes a 10% Shift Differential) at our Lexington Road facility in Billerica, MA. This person is responsible for operation of the Injection Mold Machines in our Billerica, MA facility.
Other Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Ability to set up injection molding machine, write and edit mold programs.
- Responsible for mold maintenance repair including mold cleaning, pin and spring replacement, detection or mold fatigue and wear
- Maintain mold history records and machine maintenance files
- Ensure all safety switches are operational and kept in good working order
- Responsible for part quality and working closely with plastics engineer to develop optimum process and cycle times
- Meet time standards, read blueprints, and ability to use all shop measuring tools
Qualifications and Education/Experience:
- Read and write English and follow written/verbal instructions
- Perform basic math
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- High School or Technical School graduate
- 5-10 years Mold Machine experience
