What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reagent Material Handler - Split Shift position at Nova Biomedical?
Nova Biomedical is hiring a Material Handler to support the Reagent Manufacturing team in our Waltham, MA facility. This is a Split Shift Position (10:00 AM - 6:30 PM - Hours are subject to change). The Material Handler, Reagentswill be responsible for handling all components and raw materials for the Reagent manufacturing operations. Other responsibilities include:

- Perform SAP transactions as required.
- Receive and put into SAP location, as needed, all components for Reagent manufacturing.
- Manage SAP transactions for all components supplied to various Reagent work center. including picking by using FIFO method and delivering parts per work order request as well as returning unused components to proper SAP location.
- Engage in cycle counting of parts for reconciliation purposes and to maintain accurate inventory.
- Housekeeping and maintenance of Reagents warehouse areas.
- Work on packaging line when necessary.
- Forklift/Power Electric Jack Operator Certification - Nova issue.
- Perform basic math.
- Read and write English and follow written/verbal instructions.
- Entry-level knowledge of Quality System Regulations (QSR).
- Entry-level knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
- Entry-level knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Must be able to use a counting scale for cycle counting.
- Physical demands:
- Must be able to perform tasks that may involve for extended periods of time standing, sitting, pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, turning, climbing steps and carrying up to 40 pounds several times/hours a day.
- Require repetitive use of arms/wrist/hands while setting up/working with equipment/computer throughout the day.
- Will require use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and may include, but not limited to, safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, bouffant, gloves, hearing protection, face shield, nuisance mask, bump cap.
- Must have good hand/eye coordination and visual acuity.
- Must be able to distinguish colors.
- Ability to operate power walkie stacker and manual pallet jacks and drive a stand-up forklift.
- Must be able to work as part of a team or individually.
- Dependable, willing to learn, adapt to change, and positive attitude.
- Accuracy in counting and basic math skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- 1-2 years' experience driving a forklift.
- Related experience in a packaging environment is desired.
- Related experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment is desired.
- Experience with SAP or comparable MRP system is a plus.
- 1-2 years' material handling experience is required.
