We have an immediate need for a Cardiac Sonographer/Echocardiogram Technician to serve our NOVA Cardiovascular Care Woodbridge and Stafford, Virginia office locations. This position will be instrumental in performing diagnostic evaluations of the heart using sonography techniques.
This role involves utilizing core skills such as cardiac catheterization, telemetry, and a solid understanding of anatomy and physiology. You will also apply your BLS certification to ensure patient safety and comfort. Your expertise in interventional cardiology and relevant experience in trauma centers will enhance the quality of care provided to patients. The primary responsibilities of this position are to perform various complex, diagnostic non-invasive cardiac studies to evaluate the condition of the heart and related structures. The sonographer should have a thorough understanding of all aspects of cardiac disease; knowledge and experience in ultrasound imaging, Doppler and Color flow techniques; must have the ability to communicate findings to the physician reader for interpretation; as well as ability to properly operate, maintain and troubleshoot equipment.
Qualifications: Registered or registry eligible (ARDMS or CCI) with 2 years of cardiac experience preferred; current BLS certification.
