Dance Educator

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and a love for teaching, inspiring students of all ages to express themselves through movement. This role involves developing and delivering engaging dance lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and nurturing the artistic growth of each student.

Duties

• Design and implement dance curricula tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
• Teach dance techniques, styles, and choreography in an engaging manner.
• Plan and conduct lessons that incorporate elements of early childhood education and childhood development.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
• Create a supportive atmosphere that promotes creativity, discipline, and teamwork.
• Organize performances or showcases to highlight student achievements.
• Collaborate with other instructors to develop interdisciplinary programs that may include aspects of culinary arts or special education when applicable.

Skills

• Strong foundation in various dance styles (ballet, strength training, jazz, contemporary , etc.).
• Experience in early childhood education or adult education is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in curriculum development and lesson planning.
• Knowledge of special education practices to accommodate diverse learning needs.
• Ability to engage students through creative lesson plans.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
• Strong organizational skills to manage class schedules and student assessments effectively.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
