Job Summary
The Systems Engineering (Intermediate) – Level 3 will provide engineering and Tier 3 support services for the Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) Program Management Office (PMO) within DISA. This role emphasizes system-level troubleshooting, issue resolution, and coordination with mission partners and cloud service providers. The engineer will support day-to-day operations, contribute to knowledge management, and help streamline technical support processes for cloud services delivery.

- Ensure SCCA staff accounts are configured for tool access, including DoD365, Atlassian suite, and others.
- Collaborate with SCCA staff to manage and track service desk tickets, ensuring timely resolutions and status updates.
- Serve as the SCCA liaison to DISA and CSP IT teams, identifying compliance issues and opportunities for process improvement.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, including root cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting.
- Work with IT teams, vendors, and third-party providers to resolve incidents and support systems.
- Document and maintain knowledge base articles, SOPs, and technical solutions for internal and external use.
- Identify recurring issues and systemic problems, provide feedback to improve service quality, and recommend preventative measures.
- Support multi-cloud adoption by providing insights on DoD configurations, policies, and controls.
- Assist with system testing of tactical edge devices and provide infrastructure support for CAP onboarding and cloud connectivity.
- Support development and tracking of cloud demand data and coordinate with working groups on infrastructure needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Active Secret clearance required!
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications Required:
- Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III certification in accordance with DoD 8140/8570.
- At least 10 years of recent relevant experience, including 5 years in systems or cloud engineering roles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of DoD IT environments, cybersecurity requirements, and cloud service operations.
- Proficiency in identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues related to large-scale system integration and cloud service support.
- Experience using tools such as Atlassian, ticketing systems, and collaboration platforms within secure environments.
