What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Welding Inspector position at NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC?
NOVA is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector for projects in the Florida Panhandle area with some travel throughout Florida. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Primary duties include performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Perform Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
- Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met.
- Activities will include performing field testing and inspections
- Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
- Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
- Input results and observations into daily reports
Requirements:
- Current AWS CWI with Structural or Bridge Experience
- NDT Level II UT Shearwave and Magnetic Particle Testing. PAUT (Phased Array) experience is a plus
- NACE Level II and/or Level III
- ICC Structural Steel and Bolting, ICC Fireproofing and ICC Firestopping
