What are the responsibilities and job description for the CMT Engineer/Project Coordinator position at Nova Engineering and Environmental LLC?
NOVA Engineering is seeking a CMT Staff Engineer/Project Coordinator to work on Construction Materials Testing & Special Inspection projects in Tallahassee, FL.
You will be responsible for executing, scheduling, and/or monitoring one or more project activities during the duration of a project or series of projects. Activities include but are not limited to field work (testing), laboratory services, subcontracted services, report preparation and/or engineering analysis where other personnel are performing work. This position will require significant time spent in both the field and office settings.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Field engineering duties including data reduction, analysis & fieldwork for commercial, industrial, retail, government, office and residential projects (Construction Materials Testing/Inspection)
- Assisting with project management & reporting
- Field inspection, sampling & testing of soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, etc.
- Report preparation
- Client consultation and maintenance
- Providing assistance to other NOVA team members to promote the overall objectives of the company.
The preferred candidate will have:
- BS in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering is required
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Passing the FE exam is a plus, not required
- ACI, ICC or other related certifications a plus
