Engineering Technician (Environmental)

MAS Environmental, LLC is a leading environmental services company dedicated to providing innovative solutions for environmental remediation. MAS is seeking a skilled Environmental Engineering Technician in Tampa, FL to join our team and contribute to the operation and maintenance of our environmental/remedial treatment systems.

The Engineering Technician will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various remedial treatment systems. This role requires extensive travel to various project sites. Candidates with a mechanical background (HVAC, air conditioning, etc) are highly preferred, as their skills align well with the technical requirements of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain remedial treatment systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on treatment systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues.
• Document and report system performance, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure successful project execution.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
• Travel extensively to various project sites, sometimes on short notice.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in air conditioning or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in the operation and maintenance of remedial treatment systems or similar equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively and adapt to varying work environments.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems (HVAC, air conditioning, etc).
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with various types of remedial treatment technologies.
