What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Project Engineer (Petroleum Remediation) position at NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC?
MAS Environmental is seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Project Engineer to join our team in Tampa, FL . The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of experience with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (FDEP) Petroleum Restoration Program, including both office and field work.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct site assessments, investigations, and remediation activities for petroleum-contaminated sites.
- Prepare technical reports, work plans, and regulatory submittals in compliance with FDEP guidelines.
- Perform data analysis and interpretation to support environmental decision-making.
- Coordinate and oversee field activities, including soil and groundwater sampling, monitoring well installation, and remediation system operation and maintenance.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and field technicians.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Utilize Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software to assist in the design and implementation of engineering projects.
