Senior Environmental Project Manager (Remediation)

NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Engineer or Geologist to join our Pensacola, FL office. This candidate will also serve as the Florida Panhandle regional technical leader, providing environmental expertise and guidance across the region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental due diligence projects and demonstrated success in managing projects under FDEP’s Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP).

Duties:

• Conduct Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) to identify potential environmental liabilities.
• Oversee underground storage tank (UST) removals and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement environmental remediation plans for soil and water contamination.
• Manage environmental projects under the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (FDEP) Petroleum Restoration Program.
• Perform indoor air quality assessments, including mold, asbestos, and lead-based paint inspections.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors to ensure project success.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental engineering or geology.
• Proven expertise in environmental remediation of soil and water.
• Demonstrated success in managing projects under FDEP’s Petroleum Restoration Program.
• Extensive experience with Phase I & II ESAs, UST removals, and indoor air quality assessments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
