What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Project Manager (CMT & Building Code) position at NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC?
NOVA Engineering is hiring a Senior Project Manager in the Fort Myers, Florida metropolitan statistical area (MSAs). This person will help with writing proposals, scheduling field staff, client interactions, project management/review of field reports, and will also work in the field performing Threshold/Special Inspections or Building Code Inspections as licensed. This job will be about 50% in office and 50% in the field. NOVA will also provide a take-home company truck with fuel card, laptop, cell phone, certification incentive program, and many more perks.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Project coordination and project management of Special Inspection, Construction Materials Testing, and Building Code Inspections related work
- Client consultation and maintenance
- Preparation of client proposals and report preparation
- Providing oversight of field staff
- Project engineering duties including data reduction, analysis & report review for commercial, industrial, retail, government, office, transportation, and residential projects
- Threshold Inspections / Special Inspections (CMU Masonry, Concrete Reinforcement, Light Gauge Metal Framing, and Wood Framing)
- Providing assistance to other NOVA team members to promote the overall objectives of the company
Requirements:
- 8 years of Construction Materials Testing (CMT) or Building Code Inspections experience
- Experience inspecting structural building materials including: CMU Masonry, Concrete Reinforcement, Light Gauge Metal Framing, Wood Framing, and Structural Welding
- Strong communication skills are a must
Preferred:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or state of Florida licensed Building Official (Building Code Administrator)
- CMT Laboratory experience testing soils, concrete, and aggregates
