Compensation: $18.00 Per Hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Reports To: Cultivation Manager

Position Summary: The Cultivator is an essential part of our outdoor cultivation team, responsible for ensuring a successful, high-quality harvest. This role involves hand-harvesting cannabis plants, plucking leaves, and assisting with post-harvest processing while maintaining strict quality, safety, and compliance standards.
This is a physically demanding role requiring outdoor labor in varying weather conditions and the ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cultivation areas, tools, and equipment for harvest operations.
- Conduct routine inspections of plants to assess readiness for harvest.
- Assist in defoliation and pruning to optimize plant health and yield.
- Ensure all harvesting tools and workstations are cleaned and sanitized.
- Follow safety protocols and compliance guidelines to ensure a controlled and efficient harvest process.
- Hand-harvest cannabis plants with care to maintain plant integrity.
- Pluck individual leaves as part of the harvest process.
- Transfer harvested plants to designated drying or processing areas.
- Perform trimming to remove excess plant material and prepare cannabis for curing.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure the product meets company standards.
- Assist with weighing, sorting, and packaging of harvested material.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and OSHA safety guidelines.
- Assist with basic facility maintenance, equipment cleaning, and tool organization.
- Adhere to all company policies, state regulations, and safety protocols.
- Follow cultivation team instructions to ensure compliance with Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) regulations.
- Report any plant health concerns, safety hazards, or compliance issues to supervisors.
- Work closely with fellow cultivators and leadership to maintain efficiency in daily operations.
- Take direction from the Cultivation Manager and team leads to ensure seamless workflow.
- Adapt to various tasks as needed, including Farm Hand, Trimmer, and General Laborer duties.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must be 21 years or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to work long hours outdoors, often in fluctuating temperatures and weather conditions.
- Physically capable of standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic with reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity.
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Previous agricultural, farming, or cannabis experience is preferred but not required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Outdoor farm setting with exposure to natural elements, including heat, cold, wind, and rain.
- Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.), repetitive motion, and prolonged standing or crouching.
- Fast-paced work environment with strict deadlines, requiring efficiency and precision.
