Job Description & Requirements
Carlson Environmental, a Nova Group GBC Company (Carlson) is seeking new graduates or entry-level candidates to assist with conducting Phase I and writing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, and Phase II Subsurface Investigations & remedial oversight. Candidates should be local to the Chicago area, and should be self-motivated, well organized, collaborative, and able to work on multiple projects at the same time. This is a hybrid position encompassing a combination of working remotely, working in our office, and working in the field.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Successful candidates will be required to have:
- A bachelor's degree in a related scientific field
- The ability to multi-task on various projects simultaneously
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work outdoors including in inclement weather
Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits for and prepare Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
- Conduct fieldwork for Phase II Subsurface Investigations
- Conduct field oversight for various subcontracted services
- Assist with report preparation
- Various other duties as-needed
