- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Assist with mobility and physical support, including lifting or transferring clients as needed.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Support individuals with memory care needs through structured activities and routines.
- Work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities, promoting independence and dignity.
Skills
- Proficient in meal preparation, ensuring balanced nutrition for clients.
- Strong patient monitoring skills to observe changes in health status.
- Experience in home health settings is preferred.
- CPR certification is a plus for ensuring client safety during emergencies.
- Ability to assist clients with daily tasks while providing emotional support.
- Capability to lift clients safely when necessary, adhering to proper techniques.
- Knowledge of memory care strategies to support cognitive function in clients.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial.
