Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing for clients.
- Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and mobility support.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed to ensure the health and safety of clients.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality of client information.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to provide comprehensive care.
- Support individuals with disabilities or special needs through direct support services.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing or social work is preferred.
- Certification in CPR and first aid is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of assisted living practices and group home settings is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic health assessments including monitoring vital signs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
