Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities by offering both physical and emotional support in a home or community care setting. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of those you care for.
Shift: Monday - Sunday 8am - 12 noon.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental well-being.
- Monitor patients' health by observing their conditions and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning and organizing spaces.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy.
- Support clients with memory care needs through specialized activities that stimulate cognitive function.
- Assist with medication reminders and ensure that clients adhere to their prescribed health regimens.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to develop personalized care plans tailored to individual needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in caregiving or related fields such as social work or home community care is preferred.
- Knowledge of senior care practices, patient monitoring techniques, and first aid is highly desirable.
- Ability to cook nutritious meals that cater to dietary restrictions or preferences of clients.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and patience when interacting with clients and their families.
- Familiarity with memory care strategies is a plus for those working with clients experiencing cognitive decline.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
- A valid driver's license may be required depending on the position's responsibilities related to transportation.
