Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Observe and report any changes in the client's condition or behavior to healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Maintain cleanliness in the living space to ensure hygiene and safety for residents.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including helping clients navigate their surroundings.
- Uphold resident rights and dignity while delivering care services.
- Support clients with specific needs such as hospice care or working with individuals on the autism spectrum.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior care or caregiving is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and care plan implementation is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting and assisting clients as needed.
- Understanding of resident rights and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required.
