Overview
Centralized Patient Scheduler
Nova Medical Centers is looking for a Centralized Patient Scheduler who will be responsible for scheduling our patients for medical and physical therapy appointments throughout their assigned territory. A Centralized Patient Scheduler has excellent organizational skills, strong analytical skills, including troubleshooting and problem solving. We are looking for someone with outstanding customer service skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Schedules patient appointments and enters required information in the electronic scheduling system in an accurate and timely manner.
- Communicates in an effective and professional manner with patient’s, center leadership and departmental leadership.
- Problem solves with Center Directors and department leadership when barriers to patient scheduling are present.
- Responds promptly to requests by patients, staff and insurance adjusters.
- Reschedules or cancel appointments promptly as needed.
- Consistently maintains professional demeanor during all calls, escalating issues to supervisor as needed.
- Familiarity with medical and physical therapy terminology
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Bilingual - English and Spanish (Required)
- 2 years experience in Healthcare field with customer service
- Must be able to work a weekly rotation schedule of 8 am - 5 pm and 11 am - 8 pm
- Must have strong computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
- Must have excellent telephone skills
- Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
