Hiring a Full Time Physical Therapist to Cover Nova's McAllen, Harlingen, and Brownsville Clinics

Ensures physical therapy operations, services and trainings are being rendered in accordance with established policies, procedures and Nova Medical Centers’ physical therapy treatment philosophy. Market Float will be assigned a primary clinic responsibility market segment but all Market Floats will collaboratively support the PT operational needs across the entire market as directed by the Market Director.

Responsibilities

Management Responsibilities

• Ensures continuous enforcement and compliance with Nova Medical Centers' policies, procedures and protocols.
• Carries out business practices and personnel policies for all staff with ethical conduct treatment standards.
• Assesses adequacy of department staffing and makes recommendations for the staffing plan of the market.
• Participates in the training of the department team and takes lead role in case studies.
• Coordinates the schedules for the physical therapy team with other Market Floats and with the Market Director, ensuring continuous provision of services and appropriate patient to physical therapist ratio to provide the highest quality of care. Must access schedules and coordinate staffing 24 hours a day.
• Participates in weekly reviews with the Market Director in overseeing daily operations and conflict resolution amongst professional staff.
• Monitors safety and assesses quality of care, time management and accuracy of documentation and performance of the physical therapy team in the primary segment of the assigned Market.
• Market Float will have supervisory duties over assigned Supervising PTs and Market Float PTAs.
  
  

Clinical Duties

• Promotes professional milieu and demeanor while supervising physical therapy services.
• Ensures compliance with Nova Medical Centers’ physical therapy treatment philosophy.
• Conducts chart reviews and provides individual clinical advice to therapy team members.
• Coordinates and participates in professional development and continued competency.
  
  

Other Responsibilities

• Meet with the Market Director, Physical Therapy on a regular basis, including off-site locations, to discuss quality of patient care, review policies and procedures, attend training sessions and/or educational seminars and other meetings as required.
• Provides input on facility space planning, capital equipment and/or suggest and/or validate additional equipment.
• Monitors and maintains the role and relationship of the physical therapy team with other professional and ancillary staff.
• Coordinate with Market Director for patient care coverage, clinic visits and continuing competency.
  
  

Qualifications

Education/Credentials

• Preferred Master’s degree or higher in Physical Therapy
• Current state licensure or the ability to obtain
• CPR certification or the ability to obtain
• Extensive continuing education in manual therapies and/or sports medicine concepts
