About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and reliable individual to join our team as a Lifeguard at NOVA Parks. As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all pool patrons, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a clean and safe pool environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Emergency Response:
- Monitor the swimming pool and deck area for potential hazards.
- Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies, including administering first aid when necessary.
- Communication and Customer Service:
- Inform swimmers and patrons of pool rules and regulations.
- Provide assistance and information to swimmers and patrons as needed.
- Maintenance and Operations:
- Perform minor housekeeping duties around the pool complex.
- Assist with pool operation and maintenance, including vacuuming and cleaning the pool deck.
- Training and Certification:
- Maintain certification in lifeguarding rescue techniques and community first aid through regular training sessions.
Requirements:
- Able to swim 100 yards without stopping.
- At least 15 years old.
- Attend and successfully complete an Ellis & Associates International Lifeguard Training Program (ILTP) course hosted by NOVA Parks.
