Garden Specialist
Our team is seeking a skilled Garden Specialist to assist with the maintenance of our planted areas and lawns. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a variety of outdoor settings, utilizing your knowledge of gardening and landscaping principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Landscape Maintenance: Perform various tasks such as weeding, mulching, edging, raking, and watering planted areas as needed.
- Planting and Pruning: Plant trees, shrubs, and flowers in designated areas, and prune them as necessary to maintain their health and appearance.
- Landscape Planning: Develop and suggest landscape plans for planted areas, taking into account factors such as soil quality, sunlight, and aesthetics.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of native and ornamental plant materials, gardening principles, and historic landscapes (18th century - early 19th century).
- Communication and Physical Ability: Excellent communication skills, ability to lift, stoop, bend, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions, and perform heavy manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Availability and Uniform: Availability to work additional hours during peak operating times, and requirement to purchase and wear a standard uniform.
