Job Summary
NOVA Parks is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pools and Beaches Lifeguard to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all pool patrons, monitoring the swimming pool and deck area, recognizing and responding effectively to emergencies, and enforcing rules and regulations as needed.
Key Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations
- Thorough knowledge of lifeguarding rescue techniques and first aid procedures
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and safe environment
Responsibilities
- Monitor the swimming pool and deck area for any potential hazards or incidents
- Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies such as drownings, injuries, and other medical conditions
- Enforce rules and regulations as needed to ensure a safe environment for all pool patrons
- Provide excellent customer service to pool patrons, answering questions and providing information as needed
- Assist with minor housekeeping duties around the pool complex
