About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Recovery Specialist to join our team at Nova Recovery Center in Wimberley, Texas.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with milieu management, monitoring client attendance, and providing direction/redirection to clients. Additionally, they will model and support client recovery processes, monitor medication administration, and coordinate admissions.
- Milieu Management: Assist with creating and maintaining a supportive and structured environment for clients.
- Client Monitoring: Regularly monitor client attendance and provide guidance as needed to ensure their engagement in the program.
- Recovery Support: Model and promote healthy behaviors, coping skills, and recovery-oriented values to clients.
- Medication Administration: Monitor clients' self-administration of medication and report any concerns to senior staff.
- Admissions Coordination: Collaborate with admissions staff to ensure smooth transitions for new clients.
- Daily Checklists: Complete daily checklists to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Crisis Intervention: Recognize crisis situations and provide interventions to maintain a safe environment.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrate competence in information systems and effective communication.
- Confidentiality and Professionalism: Maintain confidentiality and represent Nova Recovery LLC professionally at all times.
Work Environment:
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various conditions, including driving a company vehicle to transport clients when necessary.
Physical Demands:
The role requires long periods of walking and standing, with occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this position, you should possess excellent communication skills, prior experience with Windows operating systems, and a valid Texas driver's license.
