The Recovery Advocate 1st/2nd shift position at NOVA RECOVERY CENTER is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to make a positive impact in the lives of clients. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to clients as they navigate their recovery journey.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Advocate to join our team. In this role, you will assist with milieu management under the direction of the Recovery Advocate Supervisor and RADM. Your key responsibilities will include monitoring client attendance at required program activities, providing direction and redirection to clients regarding the structure of the program, and modeling and supporting the clients' recovery process.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with milieu management under the direction of the RA Supervisor.
- Monitor client attendance at required program activities.
- Provide direction and redirection to clients regarding the structure of the program.
- Model and support the clients' recovery process.
- Monitor client self-administration of medication.
- Coordinate admissions with the admissions staff to ensure the safety of the client and the client environment.
- Complete daily checklists and report any facility issues to the supervisor.
- Recognize crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions based on training and experience.
- Demonstrate competence in using information systems by maintaining skill levels, retrieving and sending business-related communications, utilizing network access appropriately, and accurately documenting all pertinent information in the BestNotes system or on the shift report.
- Demonstrate competence in communication by maintaining frequent contact with the Shift Supervisor, notifying the supervisor of unscheduled absences, interacting with clients, visitors, and staff in a professional manner, preparing and distributing group attendance reports as required, and keeping the RAS informed of client behaviors and attitudes that could affect the client's treatment.

- Demonstrate competence in the Safety Procedures of NOVA RECOVERY CENTER.
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters pertaining to clients, staff, and other information.
- Act as a representative of NOVA RECOVERY CENTER at work and in the community by representing a favorable image of the Company to all outside contacts.
- Dress in an appropriate manner according to the dress code.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Responsible for being at work on time per the established department schedule.
- Practice in compliance with the Code of Ethical Conduct.
- Comply with all applicable NOVA RECOVERY CENTER Policies and Procedures.
- All other duties and/or special projects as assigned by Management.
Work Environment
The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in various conditions, including heat, cold, wet, humid, and dry/arid conditions.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position, and the schedule will fluctuate between day, afternoon, and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Travel
This position may travel to other NOVA locations in the State of Texas.
