Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Site Safety Representative on a construction project in Oceanport, NJ. The project involves the full demolition of buildings and the out of ground construction of new buildings. The role involves conducting site safety inspections, facilitating the completion of on-site safety paperwork, and communicating safety protocols to help ensure a safe job site.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- OSHA 30 Hour for Construction
- Construction Safety Experience
- Construction Health and Safety Knowledge
- Strong Communicator
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting site specific safety orientations
- Completing safety inspections, logs and checklists
- Coordinating the completion of safety paperwork e.g. Pre Task Plans, Toolbox Talks, Hot Work Permits, Scaffold Checklists, etc.
- Communicating safety protocols to subcontractor companies
- Overseeing the implementation of safety procedures to help prevent work-site injuries and accidents
