Position Summary
The Nova Steel USA Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing support to the Accounting and Finance departments.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
· Foster a culture of safety awareness and safety prioritization.
- Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) core processes including verifying, classifying, recording & printing of invoices, processing & executing payment runs, / credit notes, verification with related documents, recording incoming payments, submitting invoices on customer portals
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders
- Prepare weekly Aging Reports for management. Send reminders and weekly aging statements to designated customers for outstanding balances
- Maintain proper & accurate records and files; ensure strict confidentiality of financial records.
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
- Prepare various information as requested for audit purpose
- Perform other duties as required to support Accounting Department
Job Requirements
Education
· High School Diploma Required
Experience & Certifications
· Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment preferred.
· Excellent computer skills including Strong Excel
· Ability to handle high volume of tasks with accuracy
· Ability to handle discrepancies or other issues in a professional manner
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
· Ability to sit for several hours at a time
· Occasional standing and walking
· Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time.
