What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager position at Nova Support Services?
Key Responsibilities: Program Oversight
- Manage and oversee daily operations of the residential group home(s) and community-based services (e.g., community coaching, community engagement in-home support).
- Ensure that all services are delivered in accordance with individualized service plans (ISPs), state regulations, waiver requirements, and organizational policies.
- Monitor client progress and ensure goals and outcomes are being addressed.
- Conduct regular visits to residential and community program sites.
Staff Supervision & Development
- Supervise and support team leads, DSPs, and community coaches.
- Provide regular training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Schedule staffing to ensure proper coverage across all programs.
- Assist with recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new staff.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with licensure requirements (DBHDS, Medicaid, etc.).
- Review and audit service documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Prepare for and participate in audits, inspections, and licensing visits.
Participant Support & Family Communication
- Advocate for individuals’ rights, preferences, and goals.
- Communicate regularly with families, support coordinators, sponsors etc..
- Handle incidents, concerns, or crises appropriately and in a timely manner.
Quality Improvement & Program Development
- Analyze program performance and implement improvements where needed.
- Develop and implement program initiatives to enhance individual engagement, community integration, and independence.
- Monitor satisfaction of individuals served and their families.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a residential or community-based program.
- Strong understanding of Medicaid Waiver services, ISP implementation, and licensing regulations.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple programs, teams, and priorities effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
