What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Prosthetist Orthotist position at NovaCare Prosthetics & Orthotics?
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and driven Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) or Certified Orthotist (CO) to join our team at NovaCare Prosthetics and Orthotics outpatient center in Marion, IL.
The ideal candidate will have American Board Certified (ABC) certification in Orthotics or the completion of a Residency Program in Orthotics (Board Eligible), as well as a minimum of two years experience in providing orthotic services under the supervision of a certified practitioner.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all stages of design, fabrication, fitting and maintenance of orthotic/prosthetic devices related to patients' needs, assisting physicians with evaluation and analysis, and ensuring proper patient management consistent with established practices for orthotic/prosthetic care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all stages of design, fabrication, fitting and maintenance of orthotic/prosthetic devices
- Assist physicians with evaluation and analysis of patient's need for orthotic/prosthetic services
- Ensure proper patient management is consistent with established practices for orthotic/prosthetic care
- Identify and reconcile issues/problems to ensure patient satisfaction with devices provided
- Maintain accurate documentation to clearly define goals, issues and solutions for each patient
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited college or university from a recognized Orthotics and Prosthetics school
- American Board Certified (ABC) certification in Orthotics Prosthetics required
- Minimum of two years experience in providing orthotic services under the supervision of a certified practitioner
