Novacart Inc in Moorestown, NJ is seeking a 2nd shift (2:00pm - 10:00pm) Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician for their Production Operations. Novacart Inc is the inventor of the first paper baking mold and is the world leader in design, manufacture, and distribution of paper products for the baking and confectionery industries.
Summary: The Production Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician performs routine Electrical and Mechanical maintenance as well as troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components on forming machines, slitters, tubers, misc. manufacturing equipment and facilities. Design and build axillary equipment for the manufacturing process. Make repairs to control boards, PLC’s and machine control systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Troubleshoot electrical systems from three phase 208V to millivolt control circuits, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, and pneumatic equipment.
2. Read and understand European electrical prints and drawings
3. Troubleshoot and adjustments are completed will the equipment is running. The technician must be able to identify all the potential hazards before completing service.
4. Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of pneumatic equipment.
5. Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
6. Advises operators of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with mechanical/pneumatic equipment and components.
7. Informs management of potential electrical or mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
8. Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
9. Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed.
10. Set-up production tooling and preform quality audits.
11. Performs other duties as required.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 90 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Education Requirements
Qualified candidates for this position must have training, certifications or experience or a combination of all to successfully complete all duties assigned to this position.
Acceptable training/ experience
· Commercial HVAC or Refrigeration experience working on controls, delivery systems removal in new installation.
· Electromechanical training programs with 2 years or more focused training in electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, PLC programming, troubleshooting and repair. Control Logic, industrial electrical systems including distribution.
· Forklift, manlift training and certification
· Lockout/Tagout
· Rigging and Lifting
· Five years of experience in an industrial setting completing the above-mentioned work.
