Walco Advanced Materials is looking for a highly skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our advanced manufacturing team. This hands-on role is perfect for someone experienced in MIG welding, blueprint reading, plasma cutting, and metal fabrication within a fast-paced, safety-driven production environment.

- Perform MIG welding and plasma cutting to AWS D1.1 standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and weld symbols
- Precisely measure, cut, fabricate, and assemble components
- Use industrial tools: plasma cutters, grinders, brakes, drills
- Inspect welds to meet strict quality and spec requirements
- Support cross-functional production and basic assembly tasks
- Always adhere to safety, quality, and shop standards
- Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Vocational training or associate’s degree in welding preferred
- 1 years of hands-on fabrication experience in an industrial setting
- Must meet AWS D1.1 standards; AWS 14.1 MIG certification (or ability to qualify)
- Technical Skills
- Strong blueprint reading and math skills (fractions, decimals, layout)
- Skilled with shop tools and metal fabrication equipment
- OSHA 10/30 and IIPP knowledge preferred
- Physical Requirements
- Lift/carry up to 75 lbs, frequent standing/kneeling
- Work in high-heat/noise settings with PPE (PPE provided)
- Compliant with California ergonomic and IIPP standards
- Additional Requirements
- Must pass an onsite weld test
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Meal/rest breaks per California labor code
