What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Service Specialist **Part-Time position at Novak Animal Care Center?
Novak Animal Care Center is an AAHA Accredited 3 doctor small animal practice looking for a part-time client service specialist to join our team!
The candidate we are looking for should be professional, courteous, positive, compassionate, and possess a team-player mentality. The ability to remain clam under pressure and work well in a fast-paced environment is a must! You'll need to be self-starting and diligent with strong organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of AVImark software is highly desired but not required. Prior experience working in vet medicine is preferred, but we are willing to train a highly motivated candidate that we feel is the right fit.
- Basic duties include: greeting clients, checking in/out, data input, scheduling appointments, triage phones, payment handling, knowledge of vaccine protocols, prepping/filing patient charts, email/fax, clerical duties, ensuring completion and accuracy of hospital forms, delivering excellent customer service, educating clients on products/services, and encouraging patient care compliance.
**Average hours per week varies from 16-24. Must be able to work weekdays and the occasional Saturday. Some lifting (up to 50 lbs) is required as well as a significant amount of standing and moving/bending.

Must have: Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills including working in a team environment, handling difficult situations including upset or distraught clients, basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Email, and AVImark experience a huge plus but not necessary), and strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and still attend to details.
