Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Recreational Gymnastics Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and a love for educating young athletes in gymnastics techniques and skills. This position involves working with gymnasts of various ages and skill levels, fostering their growth in the sport while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging gymnastics training programs tailored to individual skill levels.
- Teach fundamental gymnastics skills, including tumbling, balance beam, bars, trampoline, vault, and floor.
- Provide constructive feedback to athletes to enhance their performance and confidence.
- Monitor the safety of all participants during training sessions.
- Organize and lead practice sessions, ensuring that all athletes are actively participating.
- Collaborate with other coaches to create a cohesive training environment.
- Maintain open communication with management and parents regarding their child’s progress and any areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sports coaching, preferably in gymnastics or related fields such as cheerleading, acro, dance. We are open to training individuals with minimal gymnastics experience or knowledge that are passionate about working with children; such as nannies, grade-school teachers, day care workers, or similar work. Your enthusiasm and dedication to learn along the way is what matters most!
- Ability to educate and motivate young athletes effectively.
- Experience with other sports is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with children and their families.
- A positive attitude, high-energy, patience, and enthusiasm for teaching gymnastics are essential.
