Job Overview
As a Logistics, Shipping, and Warehousing Technician, you will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, organization, and shipment of goods within our warehouse. You will coordinate shipping schedules, ensure inventory accuracy, and oversee the safe handling of materials. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with a variety if daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management: Track inventory levels, ensure accurate stock counts, and update records using our warehouse management system.
Shipping Coordination: Oversee the preparation of goods for shipment, including labeling, packaging, and arranging transportation to customers.
Receiving and Storing Goods: Unload incoming shipments, verify the condition and accuracy of products, and place items in appropriate storage locations.
Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized warehouse, ensuring that items are easy to locate and accessible.
Transportation Scheduling: Work closely with logistics partners to schedule deliveries and pick-ups, ensuring timely transportation of goods.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move and store products.
Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory, damaged goods, or shipping delays.
Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the warehouse.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent (additional education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus).
3 to 5 years experience in logistics, warehousing, or shipping operations.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software a plus.
Forklift certification and experience with warehouse equipment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields.
Previous experience in a similar roles.
Lean Six Sigma or similar efficiency/process improvement certifications.
